About the author

The Author, Daniel Charles Gomes, is the son of Wadislau Martins Gomes and Elizabeth Stowell Charles Gomes. The younger brother of David Charles Gomes and Debora Elizabeth Gomes. Married to Márcia and father of David Charles and Ruth Elôisa, he has served as pastor for 20 years in churches in Brazil and Japan. Ordained Minister of IPB, Member of the Presbytery Centro Paulistano PBCP. Associate Missionary of Orthodox Presbyterian Church - Japan Mission. His studies follow in diverse countries and disciplines: (2001) Master in ThM Theology, with emphasis in Old Testament by Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburg, IN. (1997) Bachelor of Theology (Trinity Theological Seminary), studied at the Southern Presbyterian Seminary, and Presbyterian Central Brazil Seminary. (2005) Bachelor of Law University Brás Cubas, (1996) Linguistic Monitoring, University of Campinas UNICAMP. He studied Administration, Psychology at the University of North Alabama (Summer Institute), 1992. PhD in Homiletics PhD. (Qualifying 2018 by Tokyo Christian University, TO, Japan). Daniel had his childhood in the interior of São Paulo, and in Brasilia. His adolescence in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, completing his high school and beginning his university studies in Alabama. Author of teaching method and founder of English school "ENGLISH JUMPSTART CONVERSATION. He served as Civil Police Chaplain of the State of São Paulo, performing an operational function as Police Delegate in the area of ​​Combating Kidnapping (2002-2013). Professor of Ethics at the Coriolano Cobra Police Academy. (2009-2013) Works with the Refugio Ministries, Mogi das Cruzes, SP (1997-present). Currently serving the Christ is Life Presbyterian Church,  in Japan as a Missionary Pastor affiliated with the Presbyterian Agency for Transcultural Missions (APMT), a missionary agency of the Presbyterian Church of Brazil (2014-today).
